The Gender Studies Reading Group (GSRG) provides a stimulating forum for reading and discussing recent works in the field of Gender Studies. Open to all faculty and graduate students, the GSRG currently consists of over 60 members. Selected readings, determined by faculty organizer Kasey Evans (English) or recommended by GSRG members, are announced several weeks before the quarterly meeting and circulated by campus mail to interested members. Readings tend to vary in style (from theoretical texts to critical studies) and disciplinary base. 2007-08 texts included the South Atlantic Quarterly Summer 2007 issue After Sex?: On Writing Since Queer Theory edited by Janet Halley and Andrew Parker; The Sense of an Interior: Four Writers and the Rooms that Shaped Them by Diana Fuss; and Split Decisions: How and Why to Take a Break a Break from Feminism by Janet Halley.

The Gender Studies Reading Group is sponsored by the Gender Studies Program with funding from the Judd A. and Marjorie Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences. If you are interested in joining, please e-mail Kasey Evans at ksevans@northwestern.edu.
