Carla Della Gatta is a third year doctoral candidate in Theatre & Drama. She received her BA in English from UC Berkeley and her MA in English from San Francisco State University. Her research focuses on the intersection of contemporary Shakespearean productions and the performance of Latinidad. She also studies Latino theatre and Spanish Golden Age theatre. Her work addresses gender in Latino and Latina theatre, as well as the construction of bawdiness and exoticized women in Shakespearean adaptations.
